About Bethel 42

History

Bethel #42 Hollywood, MD was instituted in the fall of 1953. For many years young women from St. Mary's County had to travel to Indian Head if they wanted to be involved in Job's Daughters. With the construction of a Masonic lodge in Hollywood in 1950, Job's Daughters to St. Mary's County became a reality. In the fall of 1953 Bethel #24 Indian Head assisted in the initiation and installation of young women in Bethel 42 Hollywood.

Since then Bethel #42 has had it's share of good times and bad, but continues to thrive.

*In Memoriam* Bethel #42 is greatly saddened by the death of their first Bethel Guardian Mrs. Grace Voorhaar in December, 2006.
